The Garment Exporters and Manufacturers Association (GEMA) is one of India’s oldest and most dynamic apparel industry bodies, representing manufacturer and merchant exporters across the country. Established in 1975, GEMA is a not-for-profit organization committed to promoting and safeguarding the interests of the garment export community.

GEMA actively works as a bridge between the industry and the Government of India, engaging with key ministries and regulatory bodies to advocate policies that enhance the global competitiveness of Indian apparel exporters.

What We Do:

• Trade Promotion: Organizing India International Garment Fair (IIGF) to connect exporters with global buyers
• Skill Development: Supporting the industry as an accredited assessment agency to address skilled manpower needs
• Member Support: Assisting exporters, especially MSMEs, with procedures, schemes, and compliance
