You must be aware that Garment Exporters and Manufacturers Association (GEMA) is one of the oldest and most dynamic Apparel Associations in India, representing Manufacturer and Merchant Exporters. Its primary role is to sensitize the Government of India policy makers towards the needs of Apparel Exporters.

Since inception GEMA, is taking up issues of entire India with Government of India and various State Governments. Keeping a constant vigil on the policies of the Government announced or modified from time to time and interacts through print and media as well representation with the PM Office, Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce, DGFT, Apparel Export Promotion Council and other concerned Central and State Government Organizations to seek necessary commercial and fiscal relief for the Garment Exporters. 

Going Further, GEMA is also associated with India International Garment fair (IIGF) which is a specialized bi annual fair, globally recognised as one of the Asia's biggest fair. IIGF provide one of its kind Buyer Seller networking platforms which helps in business generation.

GEMA is the affiliated assessment agency with National Council for Vocational & Educational Training (NCVET) to have increased reach with mission to impact the skill assessment initiatives in Apparel / Garment, sectors to create employment generation, economic growth and social development.

The association has a dedicated consultant to attend to queries, and give expert advice on issues raised by members.

In Future, the Association wants to accelerate the steps which are needed to be attended by Government to improve the performance of the industry whether in terms of providing skill development training or introduction of modern production technology and reduction in high transaction costs.

Our focus is to make GEMA a game-changer in the industry. We want to ensure that GEMA actively communicate and engage within and outside the organisation to overcome some of the biggest challenges faced by the industry. We will rely on expertise and experience to form solutions that fuel the industry into growth mode.

As you all are aware that the foundation & strength of any Trade Association lies in its members. The future of our Association also rests on strength & Volume of its members. Our immediate goal is to increase the membership base of the Association.

You are requested to join and strengthen GEMA and look forward to your active co-operation in the future programs of the Association to make it a strong body for a better and stronger India of the future.

We will continue our volunteer efforts to promote and increase the vision and Mission of Our Association and work hard to meet the challenges that lie ahead.

GEMA membership fee is a very nominal one-time admission fee of Rs.1000/- (one Thousand) with annual subscription of Rs. 2000/- plus GST.
